David

Song title

David Kisch has been playing different styles of music and instruments since he first took up piano as a 4 year old. He comes from a family with a tradition of music, his great grandfather played the organ for Her Majesty the Queen, his Grandfather was a well known orchestra conductor in his era, and his father and brother are keen pianists. David started by playing the piano from the ages of 4 to 10 before taking up the 'Cello aged 8. He played the 'Cello through to the age of 18, attaining a very high standard, but his heart was always in the pop culture. He began writing songs whilst studying at university and having self-taught for a few years, began guitar lessons aged 21. Since then he has honed his songwriting skills with a wide range of influences from the blues of Hendrix to the modern melodic indie sounds of Bloc Party and Editors. Having acquired some basic production skills he has set up a home recording studio and recorded a number of demos there, as well as with a number of other producers. He has been performing at acoustic events as a solo artist, but has more recently dedicated his musical time to his band 'Revelin Sky', with whom he has and is continuing to perform gigs.
